Vos classiques made in west coast

Salut à tous,

Je sais que le sujet a déjà été traité sur le net à plusieurs reprises sur plusieurs site mais je me suis dit qu'ici était un bon endroit pour (re)parler du sujet.
Vous aimez le c-walking, vous aimez probablement la culture hip hop et disons pour ne pas trop s'égarer le rap rikain. Ce que j'attends de vous c'est que vous me parliez des albums qui vous ont suivi, que vous réécoutez régulièrement parce qu'il y a toujours une chanson de l'album qu'il vous faut écouter, que vous avez en tête. Je veux du son West (quand tu me dis c walk, y a westcoast qui va avec...).
Je suis sûrement passé à côté d'albums avec du son lourd et je veux que vous m'en fassiez découvrir au moins un que je vais kiffer.
Pour illustrer ça et vous faire partager mes goûts, je vais vous donner quelques noms d'albums qui m'ont marqué, ou des chanteurs qui m'ont marqué.

J'ai commencé par Tupac (même si c'est le classique, All eyes on me reste un double skeud que j'ai rayé, mais après tous ces albums jusqu'à until the end... better dayz j'ai moins accroché)
Dre forcément: Le Chronic 2001 et The Chronic que les chansons les plus lourdes
Snoop: No Limit Top Dogg je kiffe, DoggyStyle et après on peut dire que j'ai assez suivi le type jusqu'à Tha Last Meal
Warren G: Tous les albums
Nate Dogg: Trop puissant, le double album est collector à mort et le Music and me est puissant aussi
Ice Cube: The peace Disc surtout et après c'est au tri (today was a good day par exemple)
Westside Connexion_Bow Down
Bone Thugs n Harmony (mon groupe préféré) surtout jusqu'à Collection Volume 2, après de moins en moins
DJ Quik (le mec fait des sons de fou)

Bon après c'est dans le genre là, le Dogg, Food de Tha Dogg Pound, Suga Free (quand je voyais DJ Quik je testais), etc.
Après y a des sons qui me rendent fou mais au cas par cas ou des albums que j'ai zappé.

Avez vous des albums de fous, rien que pour le son qui vous donne envie de c walker ? Rien que pour le rappeur qui vous impressionne par sa technique ? Par l'association des deux (les featuring Nate Dogg sur des grosses prod par exemple du genre Shade Sheist feat le Grand Nate sur Wake up; plutôt posée la song mais c'est du bon / le gros son Gangsta Nation, la technique lyricale WC, la rage Ice Cube et Nate Dogg qui pose en plus ! (bon y a aussi Mack 10) / Tha Street WC et son flow de ouf, Le grand Nate au refrain et Snoop posé avec sa petite leçon de morale sur le c walking qui nous fait quelques pas posé avec le petit concours de danse dans le clip pour courroner le tout).

Bref, j'pense que vous avez saisi: faites moi rêver ! On mélange les époques c'est rien (j'suis plutôt seconde moitiée 90's début 2000 mais on s'en fout, balancez !), lâchez vous !

Concernant Nor et les albums west coast j'ai commencé par les plus connus que tu as cité aussi (Snoop et son "Doggystle", Dre avec ses "Chronics",...). Le "Dogg Food" est également un incontournable du Doog Pound que je réécoute avec plaisir (le meilleur album de loin les autres seulement quelques chansons valent le détour comme Cali Iz Active,...). Sans oublier les sons des Eastsidaz (G'd Up, Dogghouse,...)

Après je me suis focalisé sur la période 1990', les productions étaient folles:

-Dazzie Dee et son "Where's my receipt" est je pense un des meilleurs albums g-funk west coast. Si tu connais pas il faut que tu l'écoutes. C'est le seul album qu'il est fait (depuis il a disparu lol). Il est sorti en 1995 et a été réédité en 1996 sous le nom de "Re-birth" avec juste quelques changements sur la playlist. Tous les sons sont des pépites sans exception. INCONTOURNABLE!

-L'album de Battlecat "Gumbo Roots" (celui qui a produit le LP de Dazzie Dee, au passage le meilleur producteur g-funk à mon sens) est également à avoir. Tous les sons sont excellents et l'album est construit d'une certaine façon qu'il n'y a pas de rupture entres les musiques, les sons s'enchainent et se ressemblent pas. Écoute le dans l'ordre si tu le choppes.

-BG Knocc Out & Dresta avec l'album "Real Brothas", rien à redire que des tueries et un flow d'assassin. Laisse tomber tout l'album est à prendre.

-Tu dois connaitre mais pour moi c'est un classique, l'album "Conversation" des Twinz (pas les danseurs hein!). Eastside LB, Hollywood, Round & Round,... trop de bons sons.

-Dans le genre posé ou laidback tu as aussi l'album de Foesum "Perfection".

-Et enfin un autre incontournable pour moi que je réécoute toujours c'est l'album de Vontel "Vision of a Dream". Pareil que Dazzie Dee c'est le seul album qu'il ait fait je crois mais c'est une tuerie. Un de mes albums préférés avec que des bons sons, un featuring avec Roger Troutman, que demander de plus?

Pour ceux qui ont la foi, essayer d'écouter tout les morceaux que j'ai postés !

C-Hoo, as tu écouté toi même toutes les chansons ? Ca m'a l'air d'être un copié/collé d'un site genre "quels sont les meilleurs albums rikain 90's". Je connais 90% de ce que t'as posté et ce que je remarque c'est qu'il y a une majorité de sons East Cost donc c'est pas ce que je demande. Après pour le West, y a des sons Tupac, Dre et Eminem que j'avais déjà décrit comme ayant écouté. Un petit HS donc mais c'est sympa d'avoir pris ton temps de répondre, à tous ceux qui passent vous pouvez y aller, c'est du bon. Je kiffe Busta Rhymes, il est bon dans ce qu'il fait, il gère bien ces albums.
J'espère que les liens ne vont pas décourager les passants (mon navigateur a planté avant que je puisse aller au bout...).
Rien de plus perso C-Hoo ? Genre, TES trois ou cinq albums WestCoast que t'as le plus squatté ?


Kaweed, ayant écouté et apprécié "Perfection" et "Conversation" je pense que me sois de bons conseils. Tu sembles avoir des goûts proches des miens avec le peu que tu aies cité. Je vais donc écouter les autres albums que tu conseilles, j'avoues que je ne les connais pas donc c'est cool. Je vais essayer de me le jouer à l'ancienne quand je galérais à avoir un nouvel album: je prendrais mon temps pour l'écouter et je ne l'écouterai pas un fois en disant il claque- clic droit - nouveau dossier - albums lourds... puis en enchainant sur le reste de ces 15 nouveaux albums à écouter.

Ben l'album d'Eminem cité est fruit d'un travail avec Dre, bon c'est vrai que ca ne veut pas tout dire mais les feat, les sonnorités et le bitch please 2 surtout me le font classer dans un made in WC mais je comprends ton étonnement. Disons que c'est une petite exception sinon.

Il y en a beaucoup de ma propre playist et certaines que j'ai trouvé sur DP et que j'ai trouvé vraiment bien !
Bien évidemment certaines laissaient à désirer...

Exact Bosko j'ai complètement zappé les deux albums de Lil 1/2 Dead!! Celui de Cj Mac aussi est grave lourd mais il sonne bien gangsta faut aimer (avec les sirènes omniprésentes et tout).

2nd II None - Classic 220 produit par DJ Quik bien vu Tha Nix celui la aussi je l'avais oublié ^^

Après tout dépend des goûts de chacun. Dans le genre gangsta les albums chicano rap sont plutôt bon (Mr Criminal, Mr Shadow,...) mais assez particuliers (ça reste west coast).

L'album de E-White - "48 Hours: the white album" est frais aussi.

Ou le premier album éponyme d'AllFrumTha I qui ont collaboré avec WC et la Westside connection sur Hoo Bangin' pour les connaisseurs.

Bref beaucoup trop d'albums je suis sûr qu'on en oublie ou même qu'on en a toujours pas découvert certains lol.

C-hoo t'inquiètes ne supprime pas ton post lol tu m'as fait découvrir certains groupes (genre The Coup que je connaissais pas) qui sonnent bien

Autant pour moi alors C-Hoo, t'as du galérer, supprime pas ton dur labeur, ça me semble moins ciblé que pour Kaweed et Tha'NIX c'est pour ça mais y a du lourd dans ce que t'as mis, ça peut permettre à des gens de connaître de bons albums.
Tha 'NIX, bons conseils, comme dis dans mon intro, les prod du Quik j'ai trifouillé donc 2nd II None fait déjà parti des miens (c'est du bon), idem pour Tha Eastisdaz. Je ne suis pas sûr d'avoir testé le feat de WC, je vais regarder. Sinon ta chaîne a l'air intéressante.
